There’s No Time Like The Present

You know that thing that you’ve always wanted to do, but haven’t gotten around to doing it because you just don’t have the time, the funds, the support, or any other excuse your mind can think of?

For example, there’s a place you’ve always dreamed of visiting, a pair of shoes you would love to buy, or even a hobby you’ve been meaning to pick up…well, what’s really stopping you?

We all know the saying “Work hard, play hard,” and many of us know how true that is. We live in a society where we are constantly bombarded with lavish apparels and lifestyles from television to social media, and sometimes we can’t help but think “Why can’t I have that?”

Life is much more than just material things and worrying about impressing others. It’s about experiences, creating memories, doing what you want to do and making the best of what you have. Happiness is simple. We look for it in things that don’t matter when it is clearly right in front of us – a smile, laughter, friends, family, love etc

So take a few days of work (trust me, they won’t fire you, they need you), take a trip somewhere with your friends. Visit a family member that you haven’t seen in a while. Go out and treat yourself to spa or buy that piece of jewelry that you’ve always wanted.

As long as you’re doing what you’re supposed to do in your professional life, there is no reason why you shouldn’t enjoy the fruits of your labor.

  1. Amen. There is no reason why you cannot rip from the fruit of your labor! In this life there are so many people who don’t want you succeed, but if you take the time you use in watching tv and put that into your dreams you’ve got gold sweetheart!
